IN 1983, SHE JOINED THE STAFF OF VANITY FAIR MAGAZINE, WHERE SHE DEVELOPED A LARGE BODY OF WORK—PORTRAITS OF ACTORS, DIRECTORS, WRITERS, MUSICIANS, ATHLETES, AND POLITICAL AND BUSINESS FIGURES—THAT EXPANDED HER COLLECTIVE PORTRAIT OF CONTEMPORARY LIFE.CURIOSITY ABOUT LIFE IN ALL ITS ASPECTS, I THINK, IS STILL THE SECRET OF GREAT CREATIVE PEOPLE.
